Good Trouble Lives On! – A National Day of Action
July 17, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Free

- On Thursday, July 17, the Omaha Metro Area Humanist Association (OMAHA) will stand in solidarity with groups across the country to honor the legacy of Congressman John Lewis and confront the renewed attacks on our civil and human rights.

This national day of action—“Good Trouble Lives On”—marks the anniversary of John Lewis’s passing and carries forward his lifelong commitment to justice, equality, and democracy.
From voter suppression bills like the SAVE Act to the criminalization of peaceful protest, the Trump administration is advancing policies that threaten the rights of all Americans. But in America, the power lies with the people, and OMAHA will be joining others across the nation to help prove it.
NOTE: Nonviolence is a core principle of the Good Trouble Lives On protest. We ask all participants to commit to peaceful demonstration and to de-escalate any potential confrontations. Our strength lies in our unity and moral clarity.
Join us. Speak out. Get in good trouble!
