American Humanist Association

OMAHA is a Chartered Chapter of the American Humanists Association, which has been the voice of Humanism in the United States for over 70 years, striving to bring about a progressive society where being good without a god is an accepted and respected way to live life.

Omaha Coalition of Reason

OMAHA is a member organization of the Omaha Coalition of Reason, a collaboration of eight non-theistic organizations with combined memberships of over 500 people in the Omaha Metro Area, working together to achieve higher visibility, gain more members, and have a greater impact in our local community.

Council for Secular Humanism

OMAHA is an Affiliate of the Council for Secular Humanism, North America’s leading organization for non-religious people. A not-for-profit educational corporation, the Council supports a wide range of activities to meet the needs of people who find meaning and value in life without looking to a religion.

Secular Coalition for America

OMAHA is an Endorsing Organization of the Secular Coalition for America, an advocacy organization whose purpose is to amplify the diverse and growing voice of the nontheistic community in the United States. Located in Washington, D.C. for ready access to government, activist partners and the media, their staff lobbies the U.S. Congress on issues of special concern to their constituency.

The Secular Web

OMAHA supports the work of The Secular Web, a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to defending and promoting a naturalistic worldview. Since its founding in 1995, the Secular Web has grown from a small site into the most comprehensive freethought resource on the Internet, offering thousands of outstanding essays, reviews, and critiques, covering everything from articles of general interest to scholarly papers by prominent nontheistic philosophers, scientists, historians, and others.

National Day of Reason

OMAHA is an endorsing organization of the National Day of Reason an observance held in parallel with the National Day of Prayer each year. The goal is to celebrate reason and to raise public awareness about the persistent threat to religious liberty posed by government intrusion into the private sphere of worship. The Day of Reason also exists to inspire the secular community to be visible and active on this day to set the right example for how to effect positive change.

Secular Policy Institute

OMAHA is a coalition partner with the Secular Policy Institute, a think-tank organization of thought leaders, writers, scholars and speakers with a shared mission to influence public opinion and promote a secular society. They believe governmental decisions and public policies should be based on available science and reason, and be free of religion or religious preferences.
