Join us for our November Third Thursday program as we welcome Victoria Anderson, State Policy Specialist with American Atheists.

In her talk, Reclaiming Democracy From White Christian Nationalists, Victoria will outline how white Christian Nationalism threatens both democracy and the true principle of religious freedom. She will trace the movement’s evolution from Cold War-era propaganda through today’s coordinated attacks like Project 2025, examine legislative trends both nationally and in Nebraska, and provide strategies for protecting our rights and our communities.

This presentation will be followed by a Q&A.

About the Speaker:
Victoria Anderson joined American Atheists in January 2025. As State Policy Specialist, she manages state-level advocacy efforts, including tracking legislation, coordinating with local advocates and partner organizations, communicating with state lawmakers, developing advocacy materials, and fostering grassroots engagement. A Lincoln native, Victoria is excited to return to Nebraska for this program.
